Bennett's surprise.....

I had the kids in the bathtub last night. He all the sudden stood up and said "P" which I was like okay hurry up get him outta the tub so he can go. Then I thought he usually says," poo"; when he has or wants to try to go or did so, I started looking in the tub for a floater:P! Then as I took him out of the tub I saw something in his hand........... It was the letter "P". My Mom had given the kids these foam letters for the tub! So of course I knew he didn't need to go and praised him so much!! I couldn't believe it. Maybe that is why at his 2 year check up his head was in the 80% percentile! HAHA!! He's so SMART!

Santa's Gift Card....

Yes, I recieved a gift card from Santa. Which was amazing that this person cares and loves me and knows it's a bit of a struggle right now.

I decided to use it on the things I will need when I move out of our current house. So I got a comforter set and bathroom towels and a rug for my bathroom. I know exactly how "I" want to decorate when I'm in a different place.

The kitchen will be poppy flowers and reds and yellows.(NO GRAPES!). Haylee's room will have pictures of Fancy Nancy on the wall. I'm not sure about Bennett's room yet. I may stay with the airplane theme for now till he shows his interests.

It just helps looking onto the future right now. I know it will be a bright one! It HAS TO BE! Being POSITIVE right now is really imporatant.

Here is a picture of poppy flowers!

Merry Christmas from The three of us!

This is the best I could do! They wanted to play with their cousins BAD!

My Moment with God!

Alright I told you I would tell you about my God moment and here it is; simply AMAZING!!

I have been praying hard and asking for God to give me strength and to give my ex strength to get through this and to watch over our babies to help them to heal and to find that happiness they have. As my heart goes into my stomach everytime I think about what this is doing to them. I can;t imagine I didn;t come from a divorced family. To think how I would feel; well extremely depressed. Haylee and Bennett my angels; my cup runneth over for you as I tell you I LOVE you to the moon and back; and it would take a really longtime to get there and back.

Sorry... I get sidetracked!

So... a few weeks back I was sitting in my van before a group I have. I said the same prayer over and over again. I told him I was going to walk into the church and sit down in a pew and open my bible and for him to please show me a verse in the bible to help me through this. He stopped me on a page I wasn't going to stop on and I couldn't stop reading! It was the perfect verse I think I read the entire chapter! WOW!! He is there; he really is! How AMAZING is our GOD??!!!
He even gave me a quote to write down a week ago. Out of nowhere, I had a picture on my fridge of myself and I was smiling! I stared at it for a good 5 minutes and then this came to me....

No matter what anybody does to you; you will smile like that again! I wrote it down then I reread it; it was in third person. You will smile like that. Not, I will smile like that. WOW!! He works in amazing ways!

Praise God!

Christmas Morning....

Haylee DID get her Dog!

Bennett playing with his Lightning McQueen car that goes in circles!

YES!!! They wear matching jammies every year!

YAY!! For Purplicious!

Tearing off every piece of wrapping paper!

My co-parent came over and we woke the kids up at 8:30Am. I wished I had my camera upstairs because Haylee could see the presents from upstairs and her face was priceless. I did get several pictures! Haylee torn right into her presents and Bennett had to make sure he got ALL every single piece of wrapping paper off the present. He even wanted to open sissy presents! It was a fun morning!
To my family and friends, you know who you are and I LOVE each and every one of you!
Happy New Year! I know several of us are looking forward to 2009; me included! So here is a bible verse for you all.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Christmas Eve with my angels and family!!

I'm gonna try to upload several pictures from Christmas Eve. They will just be the ones of my kids and I. I don't want to include any of my other family without their permission.

Haylee and I went to church for their Christmas Eve service. It was awesome! They had a play and then they ha a Christmas message that I think God wanted to me hear. It was amazing; and really helped to hear that for the strength I needed and still need to get through these Holidays.

Then we headed back to our house where Bennett was taking a nap his Dad stayed with him. I figured this way Bennett wouldn't be overly tired for the night.

We then packed up and went to my parents house for dinner and Santa. It was so fun. I laughed so much! I have missed that. Being with my family. They have missed me as well. It was kinda sad that I noticed that my parents have several pictures of all the other grand kids and not mine. This is due to the fact that we weren't around them much. I just pray that God will help them to forgive me for this and for me to not feel the guilt that I feel about this!

Anyways! We had a yummy dinner with Chili and Black Bean soup; rolls, cheese the works! YUM! The only thing was my Mom didn't have time to make the cheese bread. I'll have to wait till next year:(

Then the kids went to look at Christmas lights and then Santa came. HOW FUN!! Just like when I was a kid! It was so fun watching them tear through the presents! Bennett even managed to pretty much get one of his toys open and when I say that; I mean out of the box. He was determined to get the turtle out of that box( hehe)!

The kids all had a great time and so did the whole family. I found out that Katie my sister's little girl is HILARIOUS! I was getting Bennett ready for his bath and Katie came over and gave him a raspberry on his belly! I didn't expect it and I laughed to hard. Bennett loved it too! Cousin LOVE their is nothing like it:)

From my cousin who says...I'm still a ROCKSTAR to her!!

Merry Christmas too all!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

The kids and I will be going to church and then to my parents house. We always celebrate on Christmas Eve. We have dinner, go look at Christmas lights and then when we get home Santa had come! I LOVE this tradition.

Christmas morning we will be home and my former spouse will come over to have Christmas morning with us. Then my angels will be with Daddy for the reminder of Christmas. I LOVE that we could agree on this because I know a lot of divorcing parents cannot agree on that. This is a true blessing to me. We are going to try to have them both on the holidays! We even did for Thanksgiving he had them for lunch and then I had them for dinner at worked out wonderfully.

Next year, I am looking forward to starting some new traditions with the kids. My parents always took us to see the Durham Hertiage Museum to see the Christmas tree and then to see the Dicken's a singing group, in the market. Then we would go to the Christmas store in the Old Market. We would look around and then get to pick out a new ornament for our Christmas tree. I can't wait to start those traditions!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Lindsey, Haylee and Bennett

Blessings and Bennett's vacuum!

Well... what can I say! He is in LOVE with his vacuum! Or should I say mulitple vacuums! I did have an earlier picture of him trying to eat breakfast and holding the purple one you see in the picture. He was crying and everything. So the next best thing was to put him on the kitchen floor so he could push the vacuum and eat. What do you know worked like a charm:)
He has slept with his vacuum and everything. He also took it in the car one day and tried to make me let him take it into the store with us. REALLY...a huge toy vacuum; I had to draw the line...hehehe.
In this picture it was his birthday party and he look at that face! We had both out so we could avoid confrantion. The yellow one is the new one and the purple the old one. He also claims "Sissy" red vacuum to be his as well! I think with that face he was trying very hard to make sure noone took it away from him!
Then..a few days ago he got a little dust buster toy from Santa and when I say Santa I mean someone bought the kids and I gifts. With everything going on in my life someone wanted to help! It brightened my day. I was bawling. To know their are SPECIAL people out there that want to help me; was overwhelming. I thank the Lord everyday for the amazing people that are in my life and just coming into my life. Words cannot express how thankful I was! So...THANK YOU!!! You made my heart soar Sorry... I got a little side tracked! God works in amazing ways!
He also took that to bed with him the night he got it. If Sissy even laid a finger on it he let her know his disapproval!
He is also getting a cleaning cart for Christmas From my Best est Friend EVER and I will have to draw the line. The cart can't go to bed with him! Sorry..Mister Man; that will not happen maybe one small thing from from the cart...
I leave you with this bible verse... Which I have found he is so much more active in my life then I ever thought was possible! That will be another topic that I will discuss later.
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

AMAZING.....

God determines who walks into your life....it's up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go.'

Here is the picture...

This is the picture of the ornaments that we put names on and then colored a paper ornament and tied them together. Haylee even tied one!! WOW!!! It was super fun. We made them for her preschool class and also for one of Haylee's FAVORITE friends, Ayla Rose! WE LOVE YOU!!! Pretty girl!

* Side note I didn't make the Santa ornaments by the way! They came from OTC!!! HeHe! So... not that creative!

Maybe he was just saving some for later........

Note to self he either needs a bib or Mom to feed him!! HEHE!
Check out my Mister Man!! This is after eating Spaghettios! He just smiled like that and I didn't have to try to make him! It just cracks me up. He HAD to spoon them up himself! This was right before I cleaned him up and changed him into other clothes. I just can't get over that smile. So, natural and proud of himself! SO ADORABLE

OUR 1ST MOVIE!

Well yesterday, Haylee, Bennett and I ventured out to meet Darren, Jamie and Ayla at the movies. Thank you to Darren and Jamie or getting our tickets for us. You are the BEST!! We went to see Madagascar escape to Africa! Although, I was a little nervous how they would do. They did AWESOME!!! Darren brought up booster seats for the kids and Haylee sat in Awww... She was so cute to watch. Bennett cuddled with me for about half the movie and then started to get brave and got off my lap. He even sat in his own booster seat right next to me. He looked like such a BIG BOY!!! Ayla was so cute to watch too! Our little ones are 1 months apart; Ayla's the oldest. It was so funny to see both of them standing next to each other peeking over the seats to see the movie! Like two peas in a pod!

I wish I would have brought my camera; so I could have pictures to post!

I even feel brave enough to take them again:)

So now I leave you with this quote!
This quote was sent to me by one of the most important people in my life! I LOVE YOU and you know who you are:):)!!

"People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so you can appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust only yourself and sometimes good things fall apart so that better things can fall together."

An email I recieved from a very special person!

Friends---
There comes a point in your life when you realize: Who matters, Who never did, Who won't anymore... And who always will. So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future. _____________________________________________________________________

Christmas!

Sorry it has been awhile. I finally have a working computer again!

We are in the Christmas mode Haylee, Bennett and I! I made Haylee a Christmas sweatshirt. We also bought Christmas ornaments with Santa's List we put the names on them for Haylee's preschool riends; we colored paper ornaments and tied them onto the real ones and Haylee even tied the ribbon!!!! Now, I'm working on a tie blanket for Bennett. It's gonna be a Thomas the Tank one! On of these nights I'll have to stay up past 9PM; so I can work on it.

Mommy doesn't have the money to buy anything this year for Christmas this year. Which is hard because I love nothing more than putting a smile on everyone's faces. Especially since I always try to find something they don't expect. In my eyes it's better to give than recieve.

On a lighter note, I have started going to church again and I'm going to probably join. I also go to Divorce Care which is amazing. My attorney's assistant recommeded it to me and it has been one of the best things I have done for myself! Besides going to church, Right now, I am relying on my faith and it's working miracles within me! So, I close in this bible versus!

(John 14:18 KJV) I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Love and Prayers to everyone!

PS I will post pictures as soon as I figure out my new computer!
